custom ringtones in GarageBand 4.1.1

Abstract

GarageBand 4.1.1 you can export your original song or recording your audio original, or use Apple Loops and iLife jingles to create a custom ringtone for your iPhone.

Requirements:

  • GarageBand 4.1.1 or later
  • iTunes 7.5 or later
  • iPhone with version 1.1.2 or later software

To create a custom ringtone

  1. Click the Cycle button in the Transportation orders.


  2. In the LCD door, click the button on the display mode.


  3. Choose Time from the shortcut menu. Measures and time displayed on the time line are replaced by the absolute time (minutes and seconds).

  4. Region the cycle zone in the timeline to cover only the portion of the song you want as a ringtone. You can adjust the cycle time by sliding both ends. You can adjust the position of the cycle by clicking the middle of it and sliding it. Note: this area should not exceed 40 seconds.

  5. Save the project and give it the name you want for your ringtone.

  6. Select Send ringtone to iTunes menu Sharing.


  7. In iTunes, use the page ringtones to select the ringtones you want to sync to iPhone.

If the option Send ringtone to iTunes is dimmed, make sure you are using iTunes 7.5 or later. Click Update software menu Apple (?). If your iPhone displays a message that the ringtone was not copied, make sure you use the iPhone software version 1.1.2 or later.
