# 2. The countdown to the festival Urban AC "Commuter and then?" For its 2nd edition until 22 February 2011. Like last year, we want to develop and continue actions around the emergence of street art as art. And we believe in! The cultural and artistic practices of young people are a lever for access to independence, socialization and citizenship. Opening of the exhibition "Fruits" of Mary Preston on Thursday 18 February ; Mains d'Oeuvres. A solo show after a research on the issue of abundance implemented by the artist in residence at Mains d'Oeuvres since 2008. At the beginning of our century, the idealization of nature that led to the principle of mimesis becomes a natural process of idealization. Today, this bias can not do without a reflection on the accumulation generated by our companies "abundance" which is the production model Nature. Collective work around the issue of abundance (exposure Fields of Plenty) has led the artist to think the issue of "production" from creating mold and mold-cons who are also fruit containers (Fruits, 2009). It is for this exhibition suggests the question of production through works designed through a collaborative activity - in the sense of working together or to speak. After 2 hugely successful editions, Free Your Funk had to rededicate overnight at one of the producers of the most emblematic of the past 15 years, aka Jay Dee J Dilla. Musician and producer of major hiphop past 15 years, James Yancey aka Jay Dee aka J Dilla died in 2006 after having celebrated his 30 years leaving behind a discography coupled with an impressive influence on the current production. A quiet man whose main inspiration was Pete Rock but which launched a heady musical style, dancing and innovative, between hip-hop, electro, techno, soul, programming and samples, a producer whose reputation and the public far beyond the strictly hip-hop.
