Greek Tragedy [Motus Co.] performances until Saturday, March 12 at La Villette. December 6, 2008. Alexis, 15, was shot in the chest by a police officer, Exarcheia, a central district of Athens and anarchist. In a social and political situation deteriorated, the death set fire to the powder and triggered a wave of unprecedented insurgency. Greek youth took to the streets for a confrontation with police. For Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò, the creation and reality collide. Since 2009, they lead work around contemporary revolts through the figure of Antigone - a woman who, confronted with injustice, stand up and resist. Authors and Italian directors go to Greece, investigate, and collect the echoes of that revolt. Result of these experiments, Alexis. A Greek tragedy is an attempt to clarify these events. By mixing the words of witnesses from Athens to Brecht's Antigone, by re-kindling of the street on a theater stage, proposing a staging full of aggressiveness and energy, they built a partition hybrid, and rapid poetic. Between yesterday and today, the show raises forcefully the question of political commitment of artists and others. Motus company and to invite viewers to meet with her: Antigone who are today? It's been 10 years since Nicolas Joseph wanders the streets of Paris, lugging around his songs in bars sidewalks, scenes Festivals. They share an attraction to Latin American culture and their many trips to this region they have discovered a unique concept that has greatly influenced their style of painting: "buena onda" .
